Knowledge Base Advanced Settings

The Knowledge Base Advanced Settings in DRUID let you fine-tune how the Knowledge Base (KB) Engine processes and retrieves information. These settings help you improve accuracy and optimize performance for your virtual assistant.

To access these settings, go to the Knowledge Base page, click the Settings button, and click the Advanced Settings tab.

Here, you can configure:

Generative Endpoints – Integrate with different AI models.
Content Chunkers – Define how content is segmented for processing.
File Extractors – Choose tools to extract data from various file formats. You can also customize these at the unstructured data source level or at the node and leaf level.
Generator Strategies – Specify text generation methods.
Score Calculator – Adjust search algorithms to balance keyword and semantic searches.
Trainable Elements – Control which data the KB Engine uses for training. You can also customize these at the unstructured data source level or at the node and leaf level.

Use these settings to refine how the Knowledge Base handles content and delivers responses. Customizing these parameters ensures that your virtual assistant provides more accurate and relevant answers, improving the user experience.

Note: In DRUID versions prior to 7.14, the advanced settings are available in the Advanced Settings JSON field.

Reset all advanced settings

Note: This feature is available in DRUID version 7.16 onwards.

To reset all advanced configurations at the data source and node/leaf levels to match the KB Advanced settings, simply click the Save to All button. This action streamlines your settings management by applying consistent KB Advanced settings across your entire configuration with just one click.
