AI Authoring Agents

AI Authoring Agents enable authors to quickly build agentic skills within their AI Agents. They automatically create the complete skill package: the conversational flows, entity data models, and orchestrated Druid Data Service integrations. The result is a fully configured, functional agentic skill that enables the AI Agent to both interact naturally with users and operate autonomously to achieve outcomes based on user intent — eliminating the need for additional manual configuration.

AI Authoring Agents Team

AI Authoring Agents operate as a virtual team of specialized AI Agents, each with distinct expertise.

Currently the following AI Authoring Agents are available within the Druid AI Platform:

Conversational Designer

Understands your use case and drafts the conversational flow skeleton. This virtual team member creates the interactive capabilities for user engagement and determines what data structures are needed.

Data Modeler

Reads existing data models and adjusts them to your specific requirements. Rather than building from scratch, the Data Modeler builds on what exists and aligns with your current configuration, verifying what exists and what's new.

Integrations Engineer

Checks existing integrations and identifies new required ones. Currently available for Druid Data Service integrations, with third-party tools and enterprise systems planned for future releases.

End-to-End Agentic Skill Creation (Automated Pipeline)

You can build a complete agentic skill directly from the Flows / Agentic Skills page:

  1. Navigate to Solution Contents > Flows or Solution Contents > Agentic Skills.
  2. Click the New Agentic Flow button.
  3. In the chat window that opens on the right, describe your business use case (e.g., "manage opportunities pipeline").
  4. The Conversational Designer interprets your request, drafts the structural skeleton of the behavior, and asks for your confirmation.

  5. Once you specify a storage layer (Druid Data Service), the Conversational Designer hands off the requirements to the Data Modeler. The Data Modeler evaluates your existing data model, adapts it to fit the new requirements without building from scratch, and asks for your confirmation to generate the data model.

  6. After data model confirmation, the AI Authoring Agents team identifies necessary integrations. The Integrations Engineer checks existing setups, requests confirmation, and automatically spins up the required Druid Data Service integrations.

The virtual team links the conversational flows, data models, and integrations together seamlessly.

Go to Solution Contents > Integrations and click Publish to make your agentic skill live.

Advanced Authoring - Granular Block Creation

If you prefer to independently build separate components and link them together later, you can interact with specific AI Authoring Agents individually:

Create or Adjust a Data Model

Go to Entities, click the Page Help icon at the top, and follow the Data Modeler guidance to create or fine-tune your data model.

Provide your business data requirements when prompted; the Data Modeler will analyze your current schema and map your new inputs directly to it.

Create or Fine-tune Integrations

Go to Integrations, click the Page Help icon at the top, and follow the Integrations Engineer guidance.

NOTE: Currently, the Integrations Engineer agent exclusively builds and fine-tunes Druid Data Service integrations; third-party enterprise tool integrations are on the product roadmap.

Link Blocks Together

Once you complete authoring entities and integrations, use the Conversational Designer to link all pieces together and create your complete skill package.
